As 2024 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible events, milestones, and memories we’ve shared as a team. At LCS, our workplace culture thrives on collaboration, innovation, and community. This year, we celebrated our collective achievements, deepened connections, and gave back through a variety of exciting events that brought our team closer together. From exciting tournaments to impactful charity initiatives and prestigious awards, 2024 was filled with opportunities to connect, celebrate, and grow together. Here’s a recap of our year at LCS.
The year began with a celebration of our flagship product, Rent Manager’s birthday, marking the start of another year of innovation and success. In January, our team’s competitive side came alive with the Super Smash Bros tournament, while our volunteering efforts with Brewhaus Dog Bones showcased our commitment to giving back to the community. These events set the tone for a year filled with camaraderie and community.
In February, we deepened connections through engaging activities like match-up mixers and a company-wide recipe exchange. Our match-up mixers allow employees to network and match with colleagues from different teams and roles at the office that they may not interact with daily. These initiatives encouraged collaboration and brought a sense of warmth to the workplace during the winter months.
March marked the return of food trucks to the office, bringing a variety of delicious lunch options for everyone to enjoy. The Easter Egg Hunt brought a festive spirit to the spring season, complete with sweet candy treats and fun prizes for our employees. We also held our annual our Rent Manager Integrations Expo was an exciting event where employees had the chance to interact with technology providers that are integrated with our flagship product, Rent Manager property management software. Additionally, the LCS March Madness Bracket Challenge highlighted our team’s enthusiasm for friendly competition and basketball.
April brought out our creative and charitable sides with events like the Great LCS Bake-Off and our participation in the GCNKAA 5K for Rent. Paired with a Cincinnati delight—Skyline Chili lunch—and Rent Manager’s recognition with prestigious awards like Best SaaS Product for Real Estate & Property Management, we had an amazing month that reflected our culture of excellence and teamwork.
In May, we emphasized mental health and wellness through initiatives such as yoga and meditation sessions, coffee truck visits, and even a doggie de-stress day. These activities reinforced our commitment to supporting employee well-being while fostering a relaxed and positive environment.
Our Memorial Day cookout brought us together for a delicious, shared meal. We also celebrated Rent Manager’s continued success, earning the CODiE Award for Best Property Intelligence Solution. We additionally won four Stevie Awards for Customer Service Department of the Year, Company of the Year – Real Estate, RMUC as Educational Event of the Year, and Best Entrepreneur award, which went to our one and only CEO and President, Dave Hegemann!
The summer months were packed with opportunities to connect and contribute. We held a Back-to-School Charity Drive for Operation Give Back, where we collected donations of school supplies for local students. We also hosted Bring Your Kid to Work Day, giving our employees’ families a glimpse into our vibrant and innovative workplace. And the recognition of LCS as a Cincinnati Top Workplace added to the season’s accomplishments.
July brought Olympics fever to the company, starting with our LCS Olympics team mixers and closing out with a 2024 World Summer Olympics Fantasy Contest. Continuing into August, all the competitive hype culminated in our highly anticipated annual LCS Olympics, fostering collaboration and friendly competition. We were also proud to receive the Top Workplace USA award and two Globee Awards for Real Estate Solutions and Achievement in Customer Service Innovation. These recognitions highlight the strength of our workplace culture and commitment to excellence.
As the leaves changed colors, we embraced the season with activities that sparked creativity and connection. September’s Mario Kart Tournament brought a fun competition to the office, while our outdoor movie night offered a relaxing cinematic experience for our employees and their families. Coffee truck visits kept us fueled and energized throughout the fall.
October continued the fun with a fall craft event that encouraged creativity and allowed employees to step away from their desks and get crafty. We also held a Halloween costume contest that highlighted our team’s enthusiasm and collaboration. These events showcased the vibrant and inclusive culture that makes LCS such a special place to work.
As we began the fall we jumped into our biggest event of the year, our annual Rent Manager User Conference! Attendees from across the industry came together to collaborate, share insights, and experience the cutting-edge advancements in property management. The event was filled with engaging sessions, networking opportunities, and memorable moments that showcased the strength of our community. RMUC truly highlighted the spirit of growth and collaboration that defines LCS, and we couldn’t be more proud to have had such an incredible group of attendees join us in the oasis of Palm Springs.
November was a time for giving and gratitude. We value giving back to our communities and believe that when we give, we aren’t just helping those in need—we’re also contributing to a more inviting and inclusive workplace culture. Our Thanksgiving company lunch fostered togetherness, while the annual Rent Manager merch sale allowed team members to gear up for the holidays with Rent Manager swag. We bought gifts for local children in need for The Adopt-a-Child charity initiative, ensuring a brighter holiday season for others.
December capped off the year with festive celebrations. The 2024 LCS Holiday Party brought everyone together to celebrate the season in glamorous Gatsby style. And, later in the month, our gingerbread house contest added a playful and creative touch to the office. These moments encapsulated the joy and camaraderie that define our workplace, with a little holiday cheer.
This year was a testament to what makes LCS special—a culture that values connection, innovation, and giving back. From celebrating our team’s successes to creating opportunities for fun and community impact, 2024 was truly a year to remember. We’re proud of everything we accomplished together this year.
